Days 2 and 3

3 days down! only 27 to go… but I have NOT cheated yet! If I can make it through the first week, then the rest of the month will be simple! I thought I would be craving sugar and caffeine, but in truth I am craving bread. And cheese. ARG! I just want a grilled cheese sandwich! But I will wait… I can do this!

As for weight loss, so far I am down 5 pounds since my doctor’s visit a week ago, so that’s not too shabby! I’m not getting my hopes up for this to be some “quick fix” or “miracle diet,” because those things don’t exist. But I am hoping that it will help retrain my body to crave healthy foods and create a generally healthier lifestyle. A month is plenty long enough to create at least one new habit! And I have already learned so much about what foods do to your body.

For now, I’m just taking one day at a time. If I look at the entire 30 days all at once it gets overwhelming. But I can do today. And I can do tomorrow. And once I get through tomorrow I can do the next day. And by the end of 30 days I will have my grilled cheese (if I still want it) and enjoy a glass of wine, and revel in the new knowledge I have gained 🙂
