Sorry for the delay in posting. I have realized that sitting at my computer is one of the BIGGEST triggers that makes me want to snack. It’s just a habit that I’ve learned that I have to UNlearn. So, I’ve been trying to occupy my time with other activities (read: Netflix and pretending to organize my desk).
Week one is DONE! The first few days were a lot harder than I thought they would be. By Thursday I was SO grumpy and tired and ready to quit. But I didn’t! And I haven’t cheated at all, not even once. This morning I suddenly realized that I felt GOOD. I haven’t felt good in a long time. My alarm went of at 5:30, as it does on Sundays, and I just woke up! I didn’t hit my snooze. I was awake, and I felt awake. I made my breakfast, got ready for church, and was on the road by 6:15! Usually on Sundays I will hit my snooze 14262547 times, rush to get ready in 5 minutes, fail, and end up leaving at least 10 minutes late. I also didn’t feel the need to take a super long nap this afternoon (my normal Sunday activity), and I still feel lots of energy at 11:00 at night.
Tomorrow morning will be my official measurement and weigh-in day, so stay tuned for an update!
